I had a great time! I think I want to do it again..soon. I had the keen advantage though of not having to get things ready or organized.

I think the all-grain experience was better. I felt like I was making something from scratch vs with malt brewing it being a "box mix"; which maybe easier but is never as good as homemade. I also think the space made a big difference! Last time, it was in my little kitchen and then sat in my closet.

This is what Dave had to say: http://zogworld.com/2008/01/28/homebrew-mission-2-uncle-tupelo-honey-oatmeal-stout/

I think he had a good time, he definitely was interested in all the "new" stuff. If we brewed together say two more times I bet he'd be doing it on his own. We used your FSB / HDYB All-Grain "cheat-sheet" as a reference for him to follow up until the boil, which seemed to help having a physical list of what to do.

Big f'n yum. If I didn't already have like 3 other porter / stout things I wanted to brew... I'd be making me one of them too.... Definitely let me know how this one turns out.

Dave have any comments about his first all-grain experience? He think it was pretty cool?
