Notes & Comments:
I bet everyone doesn't know about this beer!

This beer was a top secret one-off. Wooly and I started talking smack about what kind of "nasty, crazy" beer I could make. Without ever directly calling it "da shit" we started making a lot of references: brown turtle with corn and chocolate and nuts with a little turtle on it. . . . Kind of like that. Anyway, when it was time for the Hunting Macrae to be bottled, I put aside 3 bottles and turned them into The Brown Turtle Ale. Wooly got one, for Christmas instead of the original Hunting Macrae, and I got the other two. After some of the already mentioned flavors were added, I must say, this beer was "da shit!"

Also, props to OBEY and the phenomenology it represents.

"The Obey campaign can be explained as an experiment in Phenomenology. The first aim of Phenomenology is to reawaken a sense of wonder about one's environment. The Obey campaign attempts to stimulate curiosity and bring people to question both the campaign and their relationship with their surroundings. Because people are not used to seeing advertisements or propaganda for which the motive is not obvious, frequent and novel encounters with Obey propaganda provoke thought and possible frustration, nevertheless revitalizing the viewer's perception and attention to detail.

The medium is the message."
