Notes & Comments:
(side bar) "Liberty Ale was brewed using 5oz. of Libert Hops for bittering, flavor and aroma. The Liberty Ale II is the fourth beer in the Fool Circle Signiture Series brewed exclusively for Catherine Bachochin after a hefty contribution to make the most expensive Fool Circle beer to date! Let freedom ring."

This beer was a ball breaker. After this I needed a break from the Signature Series. The reason this beer was so expensive, is that I originally brewed 2 gallon batches and bought ingredients from a place that sold them for 2 gallon sizes (expensively). So when she asked me to repeat this beer I tried to steer her in the new direction I was going in, but she wanted a theoretical replica of the original. So I had to buy enough ingredients to make 2 and a half 2 gallon batches - which was horribly expensive. In the all and all, I think the beer turned out fine, but was not the "same" as the original. Basically I needed to take a break from the Signature Series and do for me for a bit.

The coolest thing about this batch was I had the shortest lag time (the time between pitching of the yeast and the onset of fermentation) that I have ever had, three and a half hours, more than twice as fast as normal!

This beer was brewed on National Homebrew Day.
